Pedini, Greece. Destination Wedding

Written By nigel charman

The weather of course was gorgeous for Steffi and Dimitri’s wedding in Northern Greece. It’s a beautiful coastline and perfect for photography… and weddings… in July!

The day before the wedding we travelled around getting some pictures in some great places. The beach at Monolithi, the forest inland and an amazing Roman ruin that was built by emperor Octavian!!

The next day was a trip to a fantastic old church in the hills. A beautiful and classic Greek Orthodox service and much fun, emotion and laughter afterwards.

On to the reception, at a stunning venue overlooking the sea and right on cue the sun dipped into the sea; as the bride and groom made their entrance.

Fantastic food and Greek wine, followed by some serious Greek dancing and some proper showing off by all concerned…

What a party!

London & Huelva, Spain. Destination Wedding

Written By nigel charman

We all met at the beautiful Rosewood hotel in London to get some pre-wedding shots of Alberto and David. What a location!

Then it was on to Old Marylebone Town Hall for the weddding. A small number of guests came along to witness the day and shortly after it would be off to Spain…

We all arrived at Faro airport the day before the Spanish wedding and it was off for a fantastic lunch at a Bodega just over the border. Great wine, great food and old friends from the party catching up and making new friends! Fantastic!

Early-ish next morning we met up with the boys for a pre-wedding shoot in a beautiful Spanish village with an amazing church and square. a couple of coffees and everyone had their energy back for a serious photoshoot!

After a relaxing afternoon the real business began - the wedding celebration down on the beautiful beach next to the beach shack party venue. Right on cue (well they did plan it!) the sun went down as the vows were exchanged and everyone repaired to the bar for some refreshment. The food was great but the cocktails were greater and then onto some serious partying into the small hours.

What an amazing day…and wedding!

Hartsfield Manor, Wedding

It all begins with an idea.

The weather looked a bit iffy as I turned up early at the gorgeous Hartsfield Manor, to get ready for Lisa and Steve’s wedding.

I was working alongside my old mate Don Wales - every angle was covered creating an amazing story for Lisa and Steve: in this case two heads really are better than one!

After a great fun shoot with the groomsmen and some discreet shots of the arriving guests it was off to the wedding pergola for the ceremony - beautifully done, and all to lilting strains of a harpist… Luckily the weather was improving and after a bit of refreshment for the guests, it was off for the group shots.

Amongst the many highlights of the day; the superb magician (Clive Hyams), beautiful food, pitch-perfect speeches, I could go on…There was even time for some golden hour portraits of the couple, as the sun went down.

A photographic highlight for me was the confetti shower from the staircase, followed by an amazing first dance choreographed by ex professional Lisa!

Wow!

Wedding at London House, Battersea

A beautiful and intimate spring wedding, at Gordon Ramsey’s London House.

It was a beautiful Spring morning for Shalona and Royce’s wedding. I arrived early at Gordon Ramsey’s London House restaurant to get ready, spoke to the lovely and helpful staff and waited, camera in hand…

Soon the guests started to arrive and finally the gorgeous Shalona and dapper Royce.

Everything was set for a day of fun and hilarity!

The registrars were friendly and brilliant and as it was a crowd of intimate friends the time just tore by. A ceremony in the comfy area at the front followed by drinks in the garden and finally some sumptuous food in the restaurant. I know, I had some. Thanks you guys!

This was followed by some hilarious speeches, delicate pastries and even likenesses captured by a caricaturist…oh, and of course plenty of wine for the guests.
